Smith wanted his family to go skydiving in the launch episode of his new adventure show Bucket List, which follows the actor on a global trip of a lifetime.
Will was accompanied by wife Jada Pinkett Smith, his sons Jaden and Trey, and his mother and father in law Adrienne and Rodney.
The Smiths travelled to Dubai where they took part in a skydive, but disaster struck.
As Rodney landed with his instructor, Will was told that he had collapsed.

‘The whole idea of bucket list, like mortality, you’ve gotta live a certain way.
‘You gotta live in a way that’s organic for you because you never know.’
But Jaden calls his dad out, saying: ‘You know this. Everybody is just not built like you, or else everybody will be like you and they not.
‘Don’t act like the shit that you do isn’t dangerous.’

Rodney rejoined his family on a boat trip (Picture: Facebook)Rodney rejoined his family at the end of the episode, and said: ‘When I went out the door I was like, “what the hell?”‘
‘In my book Rodney you did have a successful skydive,’ Jaden said.
Rodney joked: ‘Does it count if I don’t remember?’
Bucket List airs Wednesdays at 5pm on Facebook Watch and runs for six episodes.
