Giggs has only gone and dragged the landlord into the feud (Picture: Rex, Backgrid)Wiley just threw a huge spanner into his beef with Drake, by dragging the Canadian rapper’s friend Giggs into the row.
It all escalated over the weekend when Drake, 32, responded to Wiley’s previous comments calling him a ‘culture vulture’ for supporting UK talent at his Assassination Nation Tour shows at London’s O2 Arena earlier this month.
It seems Wiley, 40, found another way to get at Drizzy yesterday – by tagging the rapper’s British bestie Giggs on Twitter.
Wiley tweeted: ‘@officialgiggs your boy cracked.’
Giggs, 35, wasn’t exactly thrilled to be dragged into the feud and made his feelings perfectly clear.
In a series of now-deleted tweets, Giggs replied: ‘Why did you just @ me? What exactly are u after here? Are u trying to show people that your greazy and u can @ Giggs?
‘What exactly are u trying to achieve? Coz all I see is u are trying to wind me up? [sic]’
The Whippin Excursion rapper continued: ‘So please, do not show off, leave me alone and I will do the same, don’t push it.
‘F***in clown, like we are friends, we ain’t friends, don’t push humour f***in luck u idiot. Is this what u want people to see, me wound up? Don’t run no f***in jokes with me [sic].’
And we thought Drake was brave by mentioning Wiley directly in his response to the scathing comments from grime’s godfather.
Addressing the ‘culture vulture’ criticism in a BBC Radio 1Xtra interview, Drake said: ‘It is what it is, I see a lot and I’ll never understand how supporting somebody’s song or even going a step further and giving somebody a song or linking up…
‘I’ll never understand how that’s not viewed as something admirable but I guess people have their own outlook on it.’
Drizzy continued: ‘That’s just something I wanted to get off my chest. I just had to talk about it because it’s bothering me.
‘But yeah, I didn’t like that. It’s Wiley that said that, I’ll just say his name because that was some goofy s**t. But yeah, I just didn’t like that.
‘I was like, dude what are you talking about? They have tunes that are ringing off. Anybody that’s on now, what are you guys talking about?’
