He shot to fame last year (Picture: Erika Goldring/Getty Images)There are plenty of child stars out there, but only one as yeehawing as Mason Ramsey.
Aged just 12, the singer has managed to bag himself a slot on the new remix of Old Town Road, along with Billy Ray Cyrus, Young Thug, and Lil Nas X himself.
It’s no mean feat for anyone, but especially somebody so young, and particularly as he became famous through social media.
So just who is the little guy with the big guitar and even bigger voice?
Here’s everything you need to know about Mason Ramsey.
Mason was born on November 16, 2006, in Golconda, Illinois.
He first shot to fame after being videoed yodelling to the country song Lovesick Blues in a Walmart in Harrisburg.
The video went massively viral, with 25 million views racking up in just a few days.
From there, things just spiralled, and his memeification ended up with Mason being on stage at Coachella with DJ Whethan. He also appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, with Ellen surprising him by booking him to appear at music festival Grand Ole Opry.
A record deal soon followed, and Mason has been rubbing shoulders with internet stars like Brother Nature and David Dobrik. He also counts Justin Bieber among his fans.
Now that he’s collaborating with country music royalty too (and yes, Old Town Road IS country), it seems he’s cemented as a star of the genre before he’s even left school.
