Who is Emma Corrin?
Emma is an English actress who has just been cast to play Princess Diana in The Crown.
She is 23-years-old and from Tunbridge Wells in Kent.
And as well as her bashful beauty she has the brains to match – having just graduated from Cambridge University.
Emma is a relative newbie with regards to the acting industry.
Her credits include playing Esther Carter in an episode of Grantchester last year.
Emma is set to make her film and regular TV debut later this year in Misbehaviour and US Batman drama Pennyworth respectively.
How old is Emma Corrin?
Emma is a recent graduate and a youthful 23-years-old.
She may be a relative newbie, but that hasn’t stopped her from scooping the prestigious role of Lady Di.
And the talented actress seriously impressed the show’s producers.
The Crown’s creator, Peter Morgan, said of the actress: “Emma is a brilliant talent who immediately captivated us when she came in for the part of Diana Spencer.
“As well as having the innocence and beauty of a young Diana, she also has, in abundance, the range and complexity to portray an extraordinary woman who went from anonymous teenager to becoming the most iconic woman of her generation.”
When will she make her debut on The Crown as Princess Diana?
A little while yet as she’ll be starring in season four and season three is yet to debut.
The third series will debut later this year, with Oscar-winner Olivia Colman taking over Claire Foy’s role of Queen Elizabeth and Tobias Menzies replacing Matt Smith as Prince Phillip.
The upcoming season will focus on the terms of Prime Minister Howard Wilson – 1964-1970 and 1974-1976 – and the fourth series will centre around Margaret Thatcher, played by Gillian Anderson, and Diana.
So we still have time to wait as filming for the fourth season is yet to take place.
