The start of the new season is still two months away, but the build-up can officially begin once the new fixtures have been announced and the planning for the opening matches can begin.
Pep Guardiola currently has the best win record for the opening games of Premier League seasons, compared to the other current managers, winning all three of his fixtures so far.
Manchester City and Liverpool, who were separate by one point last season, will clash in the Community Shield on 4 August, the week before the Premier League season gets underway.
What time will the Premier League fixtures be announced?
Football fans don’t have long to wait, because the fixtures for the new season will be released at 9am on Thursday 13 June.
This will include dates for all of the fixtures, including the opening matches and the final clashes of the season.
The first games of the 19/20 season will be played on Saturday 10 August, and the final matches will be held on Sunday 17 May 2020.
As well as the opening and closing fixtures, a lot of attention will go towards the Boxing Day games, as well as the derby day clashes.
Fans will also be anticipating the next clash between Manchester City and Liverpool, who were separated by just one point at the end of last season as Manchester City clinched their second Premier League title in a row.
