Is their connection what it seems? Probably (Picture: ITV)Tommy and Molly-Mae are one of the favourites on Love Island now, after a rocky start (and an attempted steal from Maura) gave way to their relationship being more cemented.
They stayed coupled up this week, and have being allegedly ‘doing bits’ in the bedroom, showing just how loved-up they really are.
Tonight could see more drama, however, as the infamous Love Island tweet game promises to shake things up.
Each year, the islanders are put through the mill of reading tweets from the general public about them, and having to guess which contestants they’re about.
For Tommy and Molly-Mae, it seems the theme of money is going to be brought up, and Curtis is due to go in full protective big brother mode to make sure his ‘brother’ Tommy isn’t taken for a ride.
The scene painted seems to be that Tommy is a very wealthy man and Molly-Mae may be out to profit, with one tweet claiming ‘Tommy deserves more than Molly-Mae. She doesn’t like him, she likes 50K’.
But this doesn’t appear to be the case when we look at their wealth.
It may appear that Tommy is extremely well-off due to the fact his brother Tyson is. Tyson Fury’s net worth is estimated to be around $40million (£31.56million).
However, Tommy only had his first professional boxing fight in December 2018, when he beat Latvian Jevgenijs Andrejevs on points.
There is little indication that he’s as flush as his big bro, but one site estimates his worth as of 2018 to be around $150,000 (£118,143). If this is correct, it’s not small sum. However, Molly-Mae seems to be pretty happy to flash the cash all on her own.
Tommy might be a boxer, but it’s Molly that’s had to fight for him (Picture: ITV)She works as a social media influencer, making YouTube videos and promoting fashion brands on her 1.1 million follower-strong Instagram.
This account shows her lavish lifestyle, and she’s recently been popping bottles in Dubai alongside some of the social media elite (including Kendall Rae-Knight and Ellie Brown from last series).
19-year-old Molly-Mae also jetted to Coachella and Bali, and can be seen in all sorts of designer gear.
While Curtis just wants to protect his mate, Molly doesn’t seem broke by any means. Let’s all just try to believe in love for once, hey?
