What is Disney's upcoming release schedule for 2019, 2020 and beyond?

Disney are dishing up some big screen treats in the next couple of years (Picture: Disney)If there’s one thing cinemagoers are likely to be doing a lot of in the coming months, it’s watching films that come from the Disney stable.
The studio giant has unveiled a lengthy list of release dates for its upcoming movies, both from Disney and 21st Century Fox, which it also owns – and it looks really pretty exciting.
From Pixar movies to the return of some animated favourites, Marvel blockbusters and – yes! – Frozen 2 – there’s something for everyone here, no matter what your taste in films.
Here’s how the schedule shapes up over the next couple of years…

2021 will see the release of three more Marvel movies yet to be confirmed, four Disney live action films, one Disney animation and one Pixar animation – as well as Fox’s Nimona and the long-awaited Avatar 2.
2022, meanwhile, promises three Marvel movies, four Disney live action films, two Pixar films, one Disney animation and an untitled Star Wars film.
In 2023, there’ll be another Disney live action film as well as Avatar 3, while another Untitled Star Wars movie follows in December 2024.
The slate even reaches as far as 2025, with Avatar 4 scheduled for release on 19 December of that year.
Another Untitled Star Wars movie follows in December 2026, with Avatar 5 rounding things out on 17 December 2027.
