Wetherspoons' beer and ale festival is coming back



WETHERSPOON is bringing back its annual real ale and cider festival, and you can pick up a pint for £1.99.
More than 30 beers and three ciders will be available to try at all 900 JD Wetherspoon pubs across the UK and Ireland during the 12-day festival.

Every beer in the festival line-up will be the same price while the event is on, from March 27 until April 7.
A spokesman for Wetherspoon said prices will vary from pub to pub but said some will sell the festival beers, ales and ciders for just £1.99.
They include The Earl Of Dalkeith in Kettering, and two pubs in Manchester, Wetherspoons confirmed.
Pubs will also sell its festival beers by the third-of-a-pint for customers who want to try more than one in the range.

You can try three thirds for the same price as one pint.
Twenty-five of the ales in the range are British, while five come from across the world, including China, South Africa and Brazil.
The festival line-up includes seasonal and speciality beers as well as one brewed exclusively for the festival.
There are also beers flavoured with blueberries, elderberries, chocolate, orange and raspberries.

Tasting notes on all of the beers will be available at the pubs.
The manager of The Earl Of Dalkeith, Robert Keen, said: “We are promising our customers a superb range of beers from overseas which have been brewed especially for the festival, together with some great beers from brewers across the UK.
“The festival will be the perfect way for real ale enthusiasts to enjoy a range of excellent beers over 12 days.”

Wetherspoon’s boss Tim Martin has said a no deal Brexit would lower prices at his pub chain.
Wetherspoons has already scrapped a THIRD of beers and ALL European wines.
But the budget boozer came under fire after The Sun found it had hiked food and drink prices for the fifth time in two years.
