JON JONES is back into the Octagon on Saturday night when he defends his UFC light-heavyweight title against Anthony Smith.
It’ll be the 31-year-old’s second fight in just two months, following his win over Alexander Gustafsson in December.

UFC 235 takes place on Saturday, March 2.
The action gets underway from 11.15pm with the early prelims.
The T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas plays host to the stacked card this weekend.

What have they said?
Jones: “Every champion has his own stories, and mine have been difficult. I’ve definitely made things harder on myself. But whether the adversity is self-inflicted or not, I’m just here for the challenge.”
Smith: “I would venture to guess it’s going to be really hard for me to stay humble talking to Joe Rogan afterwards, because the outpouring of hatred has been incredible.
“It doesn’t necessarily bother me too much, but it is a little bit shocking. Like, how so many people can care so much one way or the other just blows my mind. But there is a little bit of the ‘sticking it to the haters’ feeling there, for sure.”
Who is Anthony Smith?WHILE facing Jon Jones is a massive jump in class for the 30-year-old America, he is currently ranked #3 in the UFC light-heavyweight rankings.
‘Lionheart’ started his MMA career fighting for local promtions in the midwestern United States back in 2008, and made his UFC debut in June 2013.
He has also fought for Bellator.
In total he has had 44 MMA fights, with 31 wins and 13 losses.
His last two UFC fights – victories against Volkan Oezdemir and Mauricio Shogun Rua – saw him win the Performance of the Night accolade.
