WINCANTON

TEMPURAN came back from 16 months off to finish a solid third at Market Rasen last time out.

Before his break he won a similar contest to this from 4lb lower in the weights and this distance is ideal. Provided he builds on that last run he should go close.
That’s A Given was a good second at Taunton latest and has gone up a fair 3lb for that good handicap debut.
He shapes as though this slightly longer distance will suit and the Philip Hobbs horses are going well.
Forgot To Ask has fallen on both his chase outings and is interesting back over hurdles where he was a winner last season. He has had a breathing operation which could help too.

UMNDENI should find this a lot easier than the red-hot handicap he contested at Ascot last time out.
He drops back into novice level here where he won by five lengths at Fontwell in January. He should appreciate this distance and has more to offer.
Captain Tommy won with 16 lengths in hand on his hurdling debut last time. The ground was a lot more testing there but he clearly has plenty of ability.
Ulysses has lost his way but was good enough to finish third in a Grade 2 five runs ago so could bounce back.

SAINTEMILION has looked a natural on his two runs over fences and won a shade cosily at Exeter last time out. He carries a 7lb penalty for that but this trip and ground suit and he has a lot more to offer.
Enola Gay was well backed before running a fair race at Sandown latest and has had a little help from the handicapper.
He should be thereabouts, while Bally Longford has shown bits of form as a chaser and wasn’t beaten far over timber at Newbury latest.

TOOSEY is back over fences after a couple of spins over timber.
He was a good winner at Ayr in his last chase outing in October and sees out this trip well. He looks on a fair mark and should run well.
River Of Intrigue keeps it simple from the front and was beaten just over a length here last time out. He stays well and is a fair 4lb above his last victory.
Pink Gin likes it here and is just 3lb higher than his victory in January. He made a costly late mistake when fourth at Exeter last time and could bounce back.

MIDNIGHT OWLE would likely have won at Taunton last time even if his main rival hadn’t fallen at the third last.
That was on the back of a good second at Huntingdon and a reasonable rise up the weights gives him a chance of another success over a trip that should suit.
Chivers has been backed on his past four runs and needs to step up on his fourth at Taunton last time but this looks a slightly easier race.
Snow Rescue has been going well with a second at Leicester and fourth at Market Rasen. He is weighted to go close.

TOMORROW MYSTERY is a winner on the level and has made a decent start to his hurdling career with placed efforts at Worcester and Taunton.
He’s not long had a breathing operation and that seems to have improved him and it won’t take a lot more to strike.
Shufoog is just 4lb higher than when winning at Warwick on October and is fit from a close-up third on the Flat last month. He likes this distance and won’t be far away.
Powerful Society has been knocking on the door and was beaten in a head-bobber at Taunton latest. A repeat of that would see her in the shake-up again.

THE FLYING SOFA is back at a more realistic level after finishing 13th in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle last time out.
He had earlier placed three times in a row in similar contests to this and it wouldn’t take much more to take this.
Chapmanshype has had a wind operation since his poor show at Ascot’s Christmas meeting. He won a Punchestown bumper before that and clearly has some ability.
