The overlooked dementia victims – Channel 4 News


Someone is diagnosed with dementia every three seconds and, according to a new report, nearly 60 percent of sufferers live in poorer countries.
Those living in war zones or enduring humanitarian crises are often the forgotten victims of a disease that leaves people confused and sometimes unable to dress or feed themselves. The Alzeheimer’s Society has been speaking to sufferers in Puerto Rico where a hurricane devastated communities. Our health and social care correspondent Victoria MacDonald reports.
