Mark and Katie are actually cousins (Picture: Getty Images)The Chase star Mark Labbett has vowed to save his marriage to his wife Katie – amid recent cheating rumours surfacing.
The 53-year-old ‘Beast’, from ITV’s hit TV show, is said to be in ‘crisis talks’ with his 26-year-old wife, after The Sun reported that she was unfaithful with Scott Bate, 29.
The publication alleges that Katie has been involved with Scott for weeks and enjoyed day-trips and Valentine’s date.
However, a rep for Mark told The Sun: ‘Mark and Katie are not splitting up. Everything is fine between them and they have been at home together this week.’
According to publication the pair had celebrated the romantic holiday and travelled to Capri ‘behind Mark’s back’.
‘It took a while for people to realise who she was and that she was married. Then one of Scott’s friends confronted her and she got angry about it,’ a source previously claimed.
‘She appeared on Loose Women with Mark and people started sending a clip around when they twigged who she was.
‘People don’t think it’s right and think her behaviour is unfair on Mark – and Scott.’
They are reportedly working on making their marriage work (Picture: Rex Features)The couple, who married in 2014 and share one son together, are used to making the headlines.
But now the recent allegations have led to the resurfacing of Mark’s candid interview about his marriage to Katie, who is actually his cousin.
It’s said that the pair met through mutual friends, and had no idea that they were somehow related.

However, after tying the knot, the newlyweds discovered that Katie’s dad and Mark’s father are first cousins – making them second cousins.
Talking about his family tree on Loose Women, back in 2017, the quiz master (aka The Beast) spilt the news to the panellists.
He confessed: ‘It wasn’t something we were aware of at the time — it was one of those things that happened.
