Darcey announced earlier this month that she’d quit the show after seven series, leaving behind head judge Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel-Horwood and Bruno Tonioli.
‘I think they [bosses] were caught a bit by surprise by Darcey, it wasn’t like the end of the series when she said she was leaving,’ Anton said.
Continuing to MailOnline, he said: ‘I haven’t spoken to her about it, and it’s caught everybody a bit on the hop, but they’ve got the whole summer to organise it, they’ll go through a process which they have to do’

‘It just added to the quality.’
There’s no word yet on who will be taking over Darcey’s role on the show, however lots of names have been floating around.
