Secret Twitter re-design revealed – how to get new features and updates before EVERYONE else

TWITTER has redesigned the way you have conversations – but you’ll need to sign up to a trial to get the new feature.
If you get onto the Twitter Public Beta, you’ll be gifted brand new features that the rest of the world simply can’t access.

The headline feature being trialled right now is a re-design of threaded conversations.
Twitter was designed to broadcast your thoughts, but it’s struggled to successfully showcase public conversations in an easy to follow way.
A new re-design makes “it easier to see more of what people are saying”, and makes Twitter thread replies look more like text messages, according to The Verge.
Replies will also be indented now, which is how some other chat services (like Reddit, for instance), already appear.

This should make it easier to follow who is replying to who, and how far down a chain you are.
Part of the re-design also sees Twitter try to put less emphasis on the number of engagements (likes and retweets) a tweet gets.
This is probably to encourage all tweets to get a fairer hearing, rather than ones that are already proving popular.
Twitter The app makes conversations easier to read
The number of likes and retweets on a tweeted reply will be hidden by default unless you manually click on the reply. The same is true for sharing options.
These changes aren’t available in the live version of Twitter yet, so you’ll need to get on the Twitter Public Beta to see them sadly.
It’s also possible that the trial will fail and Twitter will scrap the re-design, so general users might never see these changes.
Twitter Conversations will soon look more like text messages, and will be indented
How to sign up for the Twitter Public Beta
The Twitter Public Beta runs on an application process, so there’s no guarantee that you’ll be accepted.
Twitter wants a broad range of testers, so you’ll likely be chosen based on whether you tick enough boxes for Twitter.
This includes your primary Twitter device, the languages you use, and your home country.
To apply, use the following link:

Once you’ve applied, look out for an email detailing your application status. Twitter says you should hear back “within a few weeks”.
