Save cash with a fakeaway this weekend with our top money-saving tips — plus win FREE tickets to LEGOLAND worth £120

TREATING ourselves to a fast food fix on Fridays can soon add up.
But you needn’t fork out a fortune, thanks to these cheap and cheerful fakeaways . . .

KEBAB: Save pounds on post-party kebabs, usually around £6 from kebab shops, by stocking up on Babek Doner Kebab Meat, £2 for 600g, from Iceland. If you want to make the meal healthier you can also pile up on veg on the cheap. I love the Super 6 deals at Aldi. You can grab tomatoes for 59p, down from 75p, spring onions for 29p, down from 53p and even potatoes for 29p, down from £1.25 — perfect for home-made chips.
SAVE: At least £4
KFC: Love fried chicken? Head to your local Morrisons cafe, where the Chic-KING sharing platter is on offer for £10 over Easter — almost 40 per cent less than KFC’s dipping boneless feast. The platter has two southern-fried chicken fillets, eight chicken nuggets, four mini fillets, four portions of chips, beans, coleslaw and onion rings, washed down with a choice of four soft drinks.
SAVE: £5.99
WAGAMAMA: Your favourite Katsu curry, around £10.95 at Wagamama, isn’t actually too hard to make at home. Get a bag of battered chicken chunks from Sainsbury’s for £3, and a jar of Katsu Curry Stir-Fry Sauce for 90p. Then add your choice of rice to finish the dish. I like essential Waitrose short grain rice, £1.05, as it cooks up soft and sticky – just like at Wagamama.
SAVE: At least £6
NANDOS: Nab Nandos Bag & Bake sauces at Asda. They are £1.19 a pack and you can get chicken breast fillets for £4. A Nandos chicken butterfly costs £8.25 alone, so you make a big saving when cooking for everyone.
