Poundland is selling prosecco glitter so you can glam up your fizz

POUNDLAND is selling edible glitter that you can put in your prosecco to give your tipple a glamorous twist.
The budget retailer has brought back packets of drinking glitter and it only costs £1 per pot.

The glitter comes in three colours – gold, rose gold and silver – and can be poured into your glasses of fizz.
The tiny specs then react with the bubbles in the drink and continue to bounce around and glisten when you sip it.
The discounter first released the dinner accessory ahead of Christmas last year but shoppers on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group have spotted them in stock again.
Poundland isn’t planning to sell these glittery numbers online so you’ll have to head to your nearest store if you want to get your hands on them.

One shopper wrote in the group: “This goes in anything. It’s fab in the kids’ juice. My little boy loves it.”
Another said that from her experience, it works in “all alcohol”, so you may be able to add it to your spirits to make your own unicorn gin.
John Lewis stocks a posher version that weighs 21 grams and comes in rose gold for £7.50. That means you’ll save a huge £6.50 on the glitter at Poundland.
Don’t forget you’ll need to buy the prosecco first. Asda is currently selling 750ml bottles of Castellore Prosecco Frizzante DOC for £5.49 – it’s the cheapest bottle of plonk we could find.
But if it’s just the fizz that you’re after then you can save even more money by buying a bottle of cava, which is made from grapes outside of the prosecco region.

Tesco stocks edible glitter for £3.50 and some people have been putting it in their gravy to jazz it up.
