Piers Morgan claims men are an 'endangered species' in Good Morning Britain studio as he accuses show of sexism

PIERS Morgan claimed that men are an “endangered species” in the Good Morning Britain studio as he accused the show of sexism.
The 54-year-old presenter slammed the fact that the majority of his co-hosts are women – in addition to the show’s floor manager.
4 Piers said that men are an ‘endangered species’ on GMB
It all started when Piers accused BBC Sport of inequality when they enlisted four female pundits to discuss women’s football – and zero men.
Piers ranted: “You don’t want equality, you want it just as unfair the other way.
“You want to ban and eliminate men, it’s not about quality it’s about equality.”
He continued: “I’ll be next, I’ll be gone, don’t worry.
4 Susanna and Charlotte were exasperated by Piers’ remarks
“There will be three or four of them here staring at you, banging on about equality, there’ll be four women here by the end of the year.
“Imagine what the ratings will do then.”
Sat between his co-hosts Charlotte Hawkins and Susanna Reid, Piers then sniped about Laura Tobin as he moaned: “Let’s go to our female weathercaster.
“Let’s go from our two thirds news desk to our completely exclusive female weather department.”
4 Laura corrected Piers when he called her a ‘weather girl’
Laura remained calm as she corrected her job title to “chief meteorologist”, while Susanna asked if he was suggesting that Laura wasn’t the best person for the job.
Piers hit back: “I am just suggesting that there are three presenters here, two of which are women.
“The floor manager is a woman, the weather lady is a woman.
“If you are a bloke in this building you are an endangered species because there are very few of us.”
4 Susanna then counted more men than women in the studio

Susanna then counted the amount of men and women in the studio, telling her co-star: “There are eight men in this studio and five women.”
Piers argued: “But they are subservient to the woman!”
Susanna hit back: “And the director is a man… And you speak more than anyone else on the programme, so what are you piping on about?”
Piers uncharacteristically allowed Susanna to have the last word, quickly changing the subject as he joked that the director actually identified as “gender neutral”.
