(Picture: Instagram/Olivia Buckland)Olivia Buckland is currently holidaying in Barbados with husband Alex Bowen, but her little romantic getaway was rudely interrupted by some inappropriate comments made by a jet-ski driver.
The Love Island star revealed on Twitter on Friday that she was actually body-shamed by the driver who told her she had ‘put on weight’ and ‘needed to watch herself’.
Umm, that’s more than a little cheeky.
Olivia tweeted: ‘Wowwww so one of the guys who runs the jet skis out here just thought it fine to tell me I had put on weight & that I needed to watch myself.
(Picture: Twitter)‘I tried to laugh it off saying “married life” and he continued to say I needed to just be careful & go back to what I was. CHEERS 4 THAT.’
Olivia explained that she was so shocked she simply walked away, but looking back on the situation she wishes she gave the guy what for.
‘Wish I had gave him a good earful but I was so shocked I walked away,’ she said. ‘Oh well. Sometimes life will show you these kind of people & you just gotta take a breath & turn the other cheek, my apparent bigger ass cheek at that.’
Now, we’ve been living through Olivia’s Instagrams while she’s been away and she’s certainly looking fire on her sun-soaked trip.
Her and Alex, who wed last year after meeting on Love Island in 2016, look like they’re having a dream of a time over in the Caribbean – scuse us while we try to resist the urge to book a plane ticket – and we’re officially jealous at them swimming with turtles and sipping a cocktail or three at the beach.
They might be holidaying, but the couple have still been hitting the gym.
Olivia has long been an advocate for body positivity and keeping it very real, she’s not afraid to show both her best and worst angles after her workouts
Taking one for the team and the womanhood, Olivia told her followers not to be duped by Instagram.
Olivia isn’t afraid to show her best and worst angles at the gym and we’re all here for it (Picture: Instagram)Posing from every angle, she wrote: ‘Secrets of high waisted gym leggings & posture! KNOWLEDGE IS POWER LADIES.
‘Is it magic? no it’s freaking angles & posture! Instagram = photos = posing = posture = angles = bod looking on point = not the whole of my life or yours am I a magician no sir.
‘There is no shame in cellulite, rolls, stretch marks, chocolate on ya mouth etc! We just naturally put our best images on here!’
She continued: ‘I’m happy to show you because it actually makes me feel more confident and I accept my body and the way it changes as I grow and change.
‘I want to help you guys realise there is more to life, more to our bodies and more than meets the airspace between your eyeballs and your Instagram.’
A-men to that.
