Rihanna and Drake have led tributes to NipseyRihanna and Drake are among the celebrities paying tribute to rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was shot and killed in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Nipsey, real name Ermias Davidson Asghedom, was reportedly shot multiple times outside his clothing store, Marathon Clothing, in south Los Angeles yesterday at around 3:20pm.
He was 33-years-old.
Sharing her shock at Nipsey’s death, Rihanna tweeted: ‘This doesn’t make any sense! My spirit is shaken by this! Dear God may His spirit Rest In Peace and May You grant divine comfort to all his loved ones! I’m so sorry this happened to you.’
Drake simply said in an Instagram tribute: ‘Rest in paradise Nipsey Hussle.’
Pharrell Williams commented: ‘You were about something..positive and for your community in every chance you had to speak..and because of that You inspired millions..millions who will uphold your legacy forever. rest amongst the stars.’

Singer John Legend revealed that he had just worked on a new song with Nipsey, telling his Twitter followers: ‘RIP Nipsey. I just spent Thursday with him filming a video for a beautiful new song we created with Khaled.
‘We filmed in Inglewood, close to where he grew up. He was so gifted, so proud of his home, so invested in his community. Utterly stunned that he’s gone so soon.’
Nipsey was reportedly among three men who were shot and taken to hospital where one was declared dead. According to police, the other men remain in a stable condition.
The gunman has not been identified after they fled the scene.
Confirming the tragic news, Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted: ‘Our hearts are with the loved ones of Nipsey Hussle.’
The Los Angeles Police Department said: ‘We have no suspect info at this time and will provide more details as they become available.’
