The Anaconda hitmaker recently announced she has started work on a follow up to her fourth studio album, Queen.
She appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to announce the news.
‘You’re the first to find out. Of course there’s a new album!’, she revealed.
‘I just don’t know when, I’m not putting out a date yet, but there is one.’
And when asked by Jimmy if the album has a title or not, she replied: ‘Yes.’
‘You know what you’re gonna call it?’ Jimmy questioned.
But Nicki backtracked, saying: ‘I don’t have a name yet.’

Either way, the rapper seems keen to put out new music for her fans.
The 36-year-old recently released her latest single Megatron, which shot straight to #1 on iTunes in the US.
She said of the support: ‘No matter how many songs you put out, it always feels good to know that people still care enough to chuck for it and still support you.’
The star has also appeared on fellow rapper Trina’s single BAPS, and Wobble Up with Chris Brown and G-Eazy.
Queen, the most recent studio album from Nicki, was released last year, peaking at #2 on the Billboard 200.
And although the album was a success, it was plagued with controversy.
Singer-songwriter Tracy Chapman sued Nicki over alleged copyright infringement after claiming that the rapper had interpolated the composition from her hit Baby Can I Hold You for one of the songs from her album, titled Sorry, without her permission.

However, the Superbass rapper denied infringing on copyright for the song, and claimed she had previously sought permission from her to use the sample.
She also claimed the interpolation was protected by the fair use doctrine, saying the Fast Car singer, ‘has not properly registered her claim to the copyright in the composition.’
