MWC 2019 - HMD unveils Nokia 9 PureView smartphone with FIVE cameras

NOKIA has released a new smartphone – and it’s got a whopping five cameras on the back.
Each of the snappers on the £550 Nokia 9 Pureview’s world-first five lens setup takes an image before they’re combined together to make one photo.
The new Nokia 9 Pureview has five cameras on the back
According to Nokia, this creates incredibly sharp HD pictures by collecting up to ten times as much light as a single sensor.
HMD, which own Nokia, unveiled the 9 Pureview today at the MWC 2019 conference in Barcelona.
The handset has a 6” display with a big bar of bezels at the top and bottom.
It’s got a few fun gizmos, including QI wireless charging and an in-screen fingerprint sensor, but the monster rear camera setup is the flagship feature.
It’s shipping today for about £550
It boasts two colour sensors and three monochromatic sensors to give extra sharp pictures.
It uses a clever AI to stitch images taken by each camera together, bringing in the best elements from every photo.
The AI is powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor, backed by 6GB of RAM.
Nokia says the phone was designed with photography fans in mind, and has even includes special software to help you edit photos on your phone.
