MORTAL Kombat first burst onto the gaming landscape back in 1992 with its success expanding it from its arcade origins to games, movies and comics.

When is Mortal Kombat 11’s release date?
Mortal Kombat 11 is set to be released on April 23, 2019, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
The fighting game’s brand new story mode will feature the franchise’s first female boss, Kronika, alongside a brand new fighter in her servant, Geras.
The game will include the new mode, Towers of Time, as well as the new Fatal Blow feature for when a player’s character’s health drops below 30%.
Mortal Kombat 11’s beta will start March 28 but will only be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.

What characters are back?
During the January live stream reveal, Mortal Kombat 11 confirmed the first playable fighters were Scorpion, Baraka, Sonya Blade, Skarlet, Geras, Dark Raiden, and Sub-Zero.
Fan favourite Johnny Cage has also been confirmed
Former MMA champ turned WWE entertainer Ronda Rousey was announced to be voicing the iconic Sonya Blade, the original female character in the franchise.
Longstanding villain Shao Khan was confirmed as the first DLC character and Skarlet is also back after failing to make a playable appearance in Mortal Kombat X.
Kano was revealed a couple of weeks after the launch.
It was later revealed that Kabal, who first appeared in Mortal Kombat 3 would return for the first time since 2011’s Mortal Kombat reboot game.
D’Vorah is also returning; she first appeared in Mortal Kombat X.
Jade is also back, but as an “undead Revenant”.

What fatalities have been revealed so far?
The main event of what’s made Mortal Kombat such a hit with fans is the iconic fatalities gameplay features that finishes a fight.
Developers NetherRealm Studios dedicated a minute-long trailer dedicated to the exhibition of the most spectacular fatalities.
From Ronda Rousey’s Sonya Blade calling in a helicopter to dissect her enemy to Scorpion use a super-heated version of his trademark chain to bisect a challenger.
The game will feature an “all new Custom Character Variation System that gives players the creative control of building customised versions of the character roster.”
