Morrisons shoppers can get 5p a litre off fuel until next Sunday

MORRISONS has just launched a deal giving motorists 5p a litre off fuel.
All you need to do to enjoy the offer is spend at least £40 before April 7 in a Morrisons store, where you’ll be given a voucher.
Andy Barr – The Sun Glasgow Morrisons shoppers can get 5p off every litre of fuel if they spend at least £40
To then redeem the coupon, simply fill up your car at a Morrisons petrol station between March 27 and April 17 and hand it over to get your discount.
Morrisons says it can only be used on one purchase of fuel, up to a maximum of 100 litres.
The £40 spending excludes purchases at Morrisons’ cafés and of fuel, tobacco, lottery products, gift cards, stamps, infant milk formula, mobile top-ups, and online games.
For the full terms and conditions, see Morrisons’ website.
As always, it is worth comparing petrol prices to nearby stations in advance to make sure you’re not paying more than you have to – though the 5p a litre off fuel may outweigh any difference.
Ways to cut down on your fuel costsHERE are some tips on how you can slash the cost of fuel

Make your car more fuel-efficient. You can do this by keeping your tyres inflated, taking the roof rack off, emptying your car of clutter and turning off your air con when driving at lower speeds.
Find the cheapest fuel prices. PetrolPrices.com and Confused.com allows you to search prices of UK petrol stations. All you need to do is enter in your postcode and tell it how far you want to travel (up to 20 miles).
Drive more efficiently. Some ways to do this, include:

Accelerate gradually without over-revving
Always drive on the highest possible gear
If you can, allow your car to slow down naturally as your brake is a money burner
Re-starting your car is expensive, if you can keep moving

The Sun has scanned the market for other fuel deals by the UK’s major supermarkets, but Asda and Tesco have confirmed they currently don’t have any.
A spokesperson for Asda added that the supermarket employs a price cap on fuel, which is currently set at 117.7p per litre for unleaded and 126.7 for diesel.

We’ve also asked Sainsbury’s whether it’s offering any discounts, and will update this article as soon as we hear back.
Morrisons has previously offered motorists 10p a litre off fuel, while Tesco last month ran an offer giving shoppers 5p off every litre if you first spent at least £50 in a Tesco store or online.
