Miley saves the day (Picture: WireImage)Miley Cyrus has stepped in to replace Cardi B after the rapper pulled out of performing at Primavera Sound 2019.
‘Ms Cyrus has positioned herself as one of the most non-conformist voices of the current star system, while also contributing to the gender discourse that makes her a perfect fit for the year of The New Normal at Primavera Sound,’ organisers of the Spanish festival said in a statement.
‘At the same time we regret to announce that Cardi B will not perform at Primavera Sound 2019.
‘The American artist has cancelled her appearance due to promotional commitments in the United States that cannot be postponed.’
The Wrecking Ball hitmaker will take to the stage on Friday 31 May alongside the likes of Janelle Monae, Robyn and Carly Rae Jepsen.
Tame Impala, Solange and Erykyah Badu will headline the annual festival, which takes place at Parc del Forum in Barcelona from 30 May to 1 June.
Any punters with a day ticket for the Friday who no longer wish to attend after the lineup change are being offered refunds.

The news comes after it was revealed Cardi is leading the way with 21 nominations for this year’s Billboard Awards.
The Please Me rapper will compete against herself in three categories with I Like It and Maroon 5 feature Girls Like You up for Top 100 song, top selling song and top collaboration.
The 26-year-old star is also up for top artist, top rap song for I Like It and top rap album for Invasion of Privacy, top female artist and more.
