Michael Dapaah drops SWIL season 2 trailer and Big Shaq is back

Big Shaq is backMichael Dapaah has released the trailer for season two of his hit comedy series Somewhere In London and all the old favourites are making a return, while Love Island stars Jack Fowler and Josh Denzel are set to make cameos.
The 27-year-old comedian, best known for his character Big Shaq, filmed the second series earlier this year and it’s set to be a wilder and even funnier ride than the first set of episodes, which went viral in 2017.
The short trailer opens with Thin Lizzy’s The Boys Are Back In Town as Michael’s various characters, including Dr Ofori and traffic warden Patrick, walk along a zebra crossing reminiscent of The Beatles’ iconic Abbey Road album cover.
Among some of the funny situations that follow include an awkward dance class, a painting session and one of Michael’s characters getting up, close and personal with a lady on the couch.
Love Island stars Jack and Josh are also set to make an appearance but we’re told they have nothing to do with the paternity test drama that’s set to unfold.
Teasing what fans can expect from season two, Michael told Metro.co.uk: ‘I don’t think there’s much pressure it’s just about having more eyes on you.
‘I wanted to explore and grow each character’s narrative more this season. There’s also a bit more messaging wrapped in the comedy as well.’

Dr Ofori will take us on more wild adventures in his cabThe comedian continued: ‘I wanted people to be able to watch and, obviously find it funny and entertaining, but also be inspired by the messaging because for me that’s what the work is all about.’
‘It’s about making sure we’re able to take people on an emotional journey of laughter. That’s really what the purpose has been in creating this season.’

Michael’s success reached fever pitch less than two years ago when Big Shaq’s Fire In The Booth went viral, launching the hit single Man’s Not Hot.
SWIL series two will debut on 16 July.
