Wes Nelson and Megan Barton-Hanson won’t be starring alongside each other again any time soon (Picture: Samir Hussein/WireImage)Megan Barton-Hanson is not about to watch ex-boyfriend Wes Nelson fall in love right in front of her.
So Megan apparently threatened to quit Celebs Go Dating mid-series when it was suggested that she came face-to-face with Wes at the agency.
According to new reports, Megan gave show bosses a ‘him or me’ ultimatum for the forthcoming line-up, saying she was ‘not keen’ to star alongside her Love Island ex, and ultimately she won.
‘There was a big plan to get Wes onto the show but Megan heard about it and wasn’t keen,’ a source told The Sun.
Megan will explore her sexuality on the next series of Celebs Go Dating (Picture: Channel 4)‘No-one wants to be dating with their ex hanging around and she made her feelings perfectly clear.
‘The situation would have been too awkward to bear and in the end it was a deal-breaker. Either bosses got Wes or they got her – not both.’
Representatives for Wes Nelson and Megan Barton-Hanson have been contacted by Metro.co.uk for comment.
Megan, who has been single ever since splitting with Wes in January, has already been confirmed to join the line-up, which also includes last year’s Love Island winner Jack Fincham.
The door has, however, been left open for Wes to follow in the footsteps of former co-stars Georgia Steel and Jack Fowler from the last series.
We already know that Megan wants to be engaged to a ‘nice, normal, non-famous’ person by the time she’s 30, so this seems like the next best dating show after Love Island.

She says Wes has been her hardest break-up to get over and has since only briefly been romantically linked to Kieran Gibbs’ twin brother Jaydon.
And she was thought to have caught the eye of Tottenham football player Dele Alli – but remember, she’s looking for a non-famous.
Wes, meanwhile, went public with his relationship with blogger Alicia ‘Lissy’ Roddy in April but seems to be single and ready to mingle on reality TV again.
Then there were those pictures of him getting close to Love Island host Caroline Flack, which can all be blamed on a ‘messy’ night out in Ibiza.
The new line-up for Celebs Go Dating includes Lauren Goodger, Lee Ryan, Lady Colin Campbell and Nathan Henry.
Jermaine Pennant and his wife Alice Goodwin are also now replacing Katie Price and Kris Boyson in couples’ therapy.
Celebs Go Dating is expected to air on E4 later this year.
