De Gea has a year left on his current deal, but United have refused to meet the goalkeeper’s wage demands during fraught contract negotiations.
Paris Saint-Germain are interested in De Gea and the Sun claim United are prepared to pay big money to force their No.1 out the door.
United expect PSG to table a bid between £60 and £75m for De Gea, and would accept an offer that fell within those figures.

United have been linked with a host of potential replacements for De Gea, including Ajax’s Andre Onana, Barcelona’s Jasper Cillessen and French stopper Mike Maignan.
While De Gea is regarded as one of the world’s best goalkeepers, his reputation took a hit last season after he made several high profile errors.
