Man Utd ready to 'pay £13million to get rid of Alexis Sanchez' and clear room on the wage bill

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly ready to pay HALF of Alexis Sanchez’s massive salary to get him off the books.
The Chilean flop is still owed an eye-watering £26million with more than three years left on his deal.

The final decision on Sanchez will be made by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but, according to the Daily Mail, the club are willing to pay up to half of his salary to tempt another club into a move.
Sanchez, 30, is currently on £500,000-a-week at Old Trafford, including bonuses.
United would rather sell him abroad and are reluctant to see him join a top-six rival.
Although paying £13m is a far from ideal situation to be in, freeing £250,000-a-week from their wages would be a major boost as United chase a number of new signings this summer.

According to the report, United’s best hope of getting shot of Sanchez is via a loan deal, which would buy them time to find an alternative sale by the following summer.
The Chilean has failed to impress since moving from Arsenal in January 2018, scoring just five goals in 44 matches.
He also been bugged by a number of injury problems, missing 17 games this season.
