The Red Devils became the first team ever to overturn a 2-0 first leg home defeat, with Romelu Lukaku scoring twice in Paris before Marcus Rashford smashed home a late, and controversial, penalty.
Were there any lingering doubts over whether Solskjaer would get the United job permanently, Wednesday’s victory surely put them to bed.

Speaking at his post-match press conference, the Norwegian said they spoke both before and after the game: ‘Yeah he was in the dressing room as well.
‘We spoke about the game, the plan, how we were going to go through and it worked out quite well!’
Asked if United could go all the way in the Champions League, Solskjaer continued: ‘Of course we fancy ourselves.

‘We’ve had loads of injuries, suspensions but that was maybe a good thing today, we had a fresh team, loads of energy. We were humble enough to work hard and we had a team to do that.’
