Anthony Martial limped straight down the tunnel after being substituted (Picture: Getty)Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hopeful that Anthony Martial will be available to face Wolves after the forward went off injured in Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Watford.
Martial found the net with a scooped finish from close-range in the 72nd minute following Marcus Rashford’s first-half strike and Abdoulaye Doucoure’s last-gasp goal proved only to be a consolation for Javi Garcia’s visitors.
Just five minutes after finding the net, Martial was replaced by Marcos Rojo and the Frenchman hobbled straight down the tunnel.
Martial pulled out of Didier Deschamps’ squad for France’s Euro 2020 qualifying matches with Moldova and Iceland due to a knee injury and also struggled with a groin problem earlier this season.
While there are fears Martial may have aggravated a previous injury, Solskjaer believes there’s a chance the attacker could be fit for Tuesday’s trip to Molineux.
Asked about the severity of Martial’s injury, Solskjaer replied: ‘I don’t know.
‘Hopefully he can be available for Tuesday. He got a bad knock. We’ll check him on Monday morning, probably.’

On Pogba’s poor display, Solskjaer replied: ‘Paul [Pogba] is important for us and we couldn’t keep the ball today.
‘He’s been away for two games with France and played a bit deeper, so maybe we have to get him more of the ball
Solskjaer admitted there is major room for improvement following United’s below-par display against Watford.
‘After PSG was a mental challenge for everyone. Wolves was worse than this,’ Solskjaer said.
‘Today at least from 20 to 45 we played some fast, flowing, counter-attacking football.
‘It’s [top four] so tight, there’s four very good teams challenging for two places.’
