Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is plotting a major rebuild of United’s squad with a particular focus on signing young, British players with a connection to United.
And according to The Sun, that has led United to Brooks – who only joined Bournemouth a year ago in a £11.5m deal – with Solskjaer adding him to his transfer wishlist.

The Welshman – who plays alongside another United summer signing, Daniel James, at international level – netted seven goals in his first top-flight campaign as well as laying on five assists.

He impressed with his work rate and versatility – playing out wide, behind the frontman and in a deeper midfield role – and Bournemouth missed him badly when he was injured in February.
However, his excellent form saw him sign a new long-term contract and Bournemouth have no intention of letting him leave.

Having already secured a deal for James, Solskjaer is also looking to wrap up a deal for Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, while a new centre-back, defensive midfielder and creative playmaker are also on the agenda.
