Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side became the first club in the competition’s history to overturn a two-goal deficit from the home leg to book their spot in the last-8.
United were winning 2-1 in injury time and piled forward in search of a crucial third goal which would put them through on away goals.
Solskjaer’s men were afforded the perfect opportunity when Presnel Kimpembe handled in the box and Rashford, after a long delay, stepped forward to smash home from 12 yards.
United’s victory was made all the sweeter by the fact that they were without ten injured first team players for the trip to France, as well as the suspended Paul Pogba.

But Rashford was there for his best mate and FaceTimed him from the United dressing room to give him a glimpse of the scenes in Paris.
