The 28-year-old is under contract until 2020 and could leave on a free at the end of next season if the club cannot sort out a new deal.
What Philippe Coutinho has told Man Utd stars about stunning £100m transferThe Sun report that De Gea is happy to stay at Old Trafford, but that he is hoping for a substantial increase on his current £200,000-a-week wages.
The goalkeeper is holding out for a huge pay rise to £350,000-a-week and has reportedly told friends that a new deal is getting close.

De Gea has made over 350 appearances for United since signing from Atletico Madrid in 2011, winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League in the process.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said of the situation earlier this month: ‘The club and David are in dialogue, hopefully, they’ll agree, it’s out of my hands but I’m sure we’ll do what we can.’
