Love Island insiders are claiming Sherif Lanre reportedly ‘spent long periods of time in the shower and in bed’ before he was axed.
The 20-year-old chef was kicked off the ITV2 reality show yesterday after breaking villa rules, announcing in a statement that he didn’t ‘conduct himself in the right way.’
There has been much speculation over Sherif’s shock departure and now a source has told The Sun: ‘He’s been refusing to get up and take part in chats with the others and said he didn’t like any of them.
‘When producers told Islanders they have to get ready to film a challenge, Sherif was deliberately spending ages in the shower. He said he couldn’t be bothered.’
So far it has not been revealed which rule Sherif is said to have broken, but a mole has said it was not a ‘criminal matter’ and his actions ‘would not be taken further.’

Sherif added: ‘In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa.
‘I regret that I didn’t conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20 year old guy, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from.’
More: Love Island
Viewers fell for fake direct message seemingly sent by Sherif last night claiming that he was kicked off the show after fighting with fellow cast member Anton Danyluk, however Love Island have confirmed to Metro.co.uk that the messages did not come from the axed contestant.
Following Sherif’s exit, two new single ladies, Maura Higgins and Elma Pazar have entered in the villa.
Bosses are said to be changing the recoupling rules for Sherif’s partner Anna Vakili to allow her to stay in the villa following his removal.
Love Island airs weekdays at 9pm on ITV2.
