Louis will drop Two Of Us next week and it’ll be emotional (Picture: Rex Features)Louis Tomlinson is set to release his new single, Two Of Us, next week and the reported lyrics are heartbreaking as he opens about the death of his beloved mother Johannah Deakin.
The former One Direction singer shared a teaser of the piano-led ballad on Twitter, and shows him writing on a blank sheet of paper: ‘It’s been a minute since I called you.’
According to The Sun, Two Of Us will see Louis, 27, address the pain he felt after Johannah died in November 2016 at the age of 43 following a battle with leukaemia.
Lyrics in the first verse reportedly include: ‘You’ll never know how much I miss you, the day that they took you, I wish it was me instead.’
Louis also sings on the chorus: ‘I will be the best of me, always keep you next to me, I’ll be living one life for the two of us,’ making for one of his most emotional songs yet.
The 23-second teaser only features the piano instrumental so fans will have to wait until Two Of Us is released on 7 March.
Louis is said to have shot the music video in Leeds on Sunday and recently opened up to House Of Solo about his devastating loss.
The popstar said: ‘I just feel like, musically, I almost needed to get this song off my chest.

‘I don’t mean to be too soppy but if Two Of Us can help just one other person who’s going through the tough time I went through, that would make me really happy.’
Two Of Us will be Louis’ first single since Just Hold On and Back To You were released in 2017.

Just Hold On, featuring Steve Aoki, was released just days after his mother passed and Louis received a standing ovation for performing the song on The X Factor a couple of weeks later.
Two Of Us is out on 7 March.
