Lostintranslation is all class to land Mildmay Novices' Chase for Colin Tizzard

LOSTINTRANSLATION was in a different class to his rivals as he went on to land the Mildmay Novices’ Chase in fantastic style.
Colin Tizzard’s improving horse collared long-time leader Top Ville Ben to saunter home in the Grade 1 contest.

It was the performance of a horse primed to be a potent challenger in all the big events next year.
Taking the lead up on the run to the last, jockey Robbie Power merely had to shake the reins to take the lead – and the response was immediate.
Top Ville Ben produced a fine front-running performance but was a sitting duck for the giant horse next to him, who powered up the Aintree home straight.
Favourite Topofthegame was never travelling and could only box on for second spot, with Top Ville Ben fading for third.

Winning trainer Joe Tizzard said: ‘Dad absolutely loves him. We knew he was capable of a performance like that. We didn’t think he would be quite as smooth, though.
“This is horse is our future and we’ve loved him for a long time.
“I just gave myself a second to watch Robbie pulling him up. He isn’t animated that often and it was great to see him so happy.
“The King George will be the main target next season.”
