Liverpool host Spurs in a much-anticipated Premier League clash, with three points vital to both sides.
For the Reds to have the best chance of emerging with victory, they will need to stop Kane from scoring in the match at Anfield.
The England international has 17 goals in the league this season, and Klopp knows he has the potential to seriously dent Liverpool’s title ambitions.
‘Harry Kane, what a striker,’ said Klopp. ‘He is just a fantastic player but I hope we don’t see why I like him!
‘I respect how he came up, going out on loan, his career is fantastic.
‘I remember one picture where him and Jamie Vardy are sat together on the bench for Leicester. I wouldn’t want to be the coach at that moment!

‘Harry did it the hard way. It’s not like he came up at 18 years old as a talent. He had to do it the hard way and he had to improve day-by-day.
‘It is difficult for one defender alone to stop a world class striker like that. You have to avoid the passes into them.
‘But if you stop Kane, Christian Eriksen shoots from 50 yards or Dele Alli is in the box and makes a little header or Son runs in behind. What a striker and what a team.’
Liverpool are currently one point behind Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
