Line Of Duty star Martin Compston has urged fans to stay tuned for a surprise at the end of the series five finale.
Compston, who plays Steve Arnott on the cop drama, sent a message to viewers ahead of what is set to be an explosive finale to the series.
The Scottish actor teased a special surprise at the end of the episode, saying it was ‘very special’ to the cast and crew.
Compston tweeted: ‘Hey folks hopefully if your jaws are back up from the floor in time, there’s a little something at the very end of the show which means a lot to the whole @Line_of_duty family, much appreciated if you could stay tuned for it.’
He didn’t reveal any more details or say if it would air before or after the credits roll. And while there’s a chance it might not relate to Line Of Duty directly, we’re crossing everything that it’s a trailer for the already confirmed series six.
The final episode will hopefully reveal if AC-12 get any closer to finding out the identity of H, a corrupt senior officer running an organised crime group.

(Picture: Twitter)Last week things didn’t look good for Superintendent Ted Hastings as he had been accused of being H, while undercover officer John Corbett was shockingly murdered halfway through the series.
On Sunday Compston reassured viewers that there would be ‘pay offs’ in the last episode.
Speaking on Sunday Brunch, the actor said: ‘The show itself has already been commissioned for another series, but who knows who’ll make it there.’
‘I think what Jed [Mercurio] is really good with his writing is that there will be a few pay offs.
‘We’ve got a 90-minute ep as well which is great. It’s exciting I think it’s alright.’
Line Of Duty airs tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
