Kodak Black has found himself in hot water after making unsavoury comments about Nipsey Hussle’s girlfriend Lauren London.
Rapper Nipsey, who was killed last week in a Los Angeles shooting, has been dating actress Lauren since 2013.
The couple welcomed their first child together in 2016 and following her partner’s death, the hip hop community rallied together to offer their comfort and words of condolences to The Game star.
However, controversial rapper Kodak has been forced to apologise after appearing to state his intention of pursuing Lauren during her grief.
‘She gonna be a whole widow. I’ll be the best man I can be for her. I’ll give her a whole year. She might need a whole year crying and sh*t,’ Kodak can be heard saying in an Instagram Live video.
When a friend is heard asking Kodak if ‘he’s shooting his shot’, the rapper retraced his steps and answered: ‘I’m not trying to shoot at her.’
He elaborated and added: ‘I’m saying, listen. She can do two, three years. I’ll try to be like the friend if you need to holla or a shoulder to lean on. She can call my line.’
Kodak’s comment did not go down well (Picture: Getty Images)His comments did not go down well as a host of celebs, including legendary hip hop star T.I., blasted the 21-year-old for his words.
T.I. said: ‘Hey, Kodak Black: You outta pocket, n****. Fix that s**t—quickly, expeditiously.’
While one follower wrote: ‘I don’t really believe in the whole “cancel” sh*t but kodak black… child he gotta go.’
Kodak went on Instagram live on Sunday to address his words, claiming that everything was taken out of context.
‘Man, listen. I said what I said. Y’all tryin’ to misconstrue what I said […] I don’t give f**k what y’all talkin’ about,’ he said in the video. ‘T.I., man, I don’t care. I’m in Georgia right now.’
Lauren London and Nipsey had been dating since 2013 (Picture: Rex Features)Nipsey’s memorial will reportedly be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the same venue as Michael Jackson’s tribute show on 11 April.
Nipsey, 33, and two other men were shot outside his clothing store in Los Angeles on 31 March.
The three men were rushed to hospital but Nipsey tragically died.
The alleged gunman, Eric Holder, was charged with murder but has pleaded not guilty.

Lauren remembered Nispey in a heartbreaking tribute on Instagram, where she told her followers she was lost without him.
She said: ‘I am completely lost. I’ve lost my best friend. My sanctuary. My protector. My soul…. I’m lost without you. We are lost without you babe. I have no words.’
