Kim Kardashian ‘suing Missguided for $10m’ after ripping into ‘fast fashion'

Kim has launched a campaign against fast fashion brands (Picture: kimkardashian/Missguided/Instagram)Kim Kardashian has ramped up her campaign against ‘fast fashion’ by reportedly suing Missguided.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is said to have filed a lawsuit against Missguided USA, claiming the online retailer have been using her name and image without permission to advertise their own versions of outfits she has worn on several occasions.
According to TMZ, Kim notes a number of times Missguided posted their so-called knock-off versions just days and sometimes hours after she wore them. The court documents reportedly contain a side-by-side of an outfit Kim wore with a Missguided outfit she believes is a replica as evidence.

Kim, 38, also says Missguided often tag her in their Instagram posts and add photos of her in the outfits, which she feels might give people the false impression that she is working with the brand.
It’s said that Kim has requested an immediate injunction to bar Missguided from using her image and has asked for damages in excess of $10 million (£7.6 million).
Just this week, the reality TV star hit out at another online retailer, Fashion Nova, for advertising a dress similar to the eye-catching Mugler dress she wore to the Hollywood Beauty Awards last weekend.

Kim also accused Fashion Nova of ripping off this Mugler dress (Picture: Backgrid)In a series of scathing Instagram posts, Kim said: ‘It’s devastating to see these fashion companies rip off designs that have taken the blood, sweat and tears of true designers who have put their all into their original ideas.
‘I’ve watched these companies profit off my husband’s work for years and now that it’s also affecting designers who have been so generous to give me access to their beautiful works, I can no longer sit silent.’

Kim continued: ‘Only two days ago, I was privileged enough to wear a one-of-a-kind vintage Mugler dress and in less than 24 hours it was knocked off and thrown up on a site – but it’s not for sale. You have to sign up for a wait list because the dress hasn’t even been made to sell yet.
‘This is a way to get people to sign up for their mailing list and make people believe there is some kind of relationship between me and this fashion site. There is not.’
