Ryan Babel’s equaliser looked set to deprive Klopp’s side of two valuable points in the race for the Premier League title, before an error from Fulham goalkeeper Sergio Rico gifted the visitors victory.
The Spaniard spilled a routine shot from Mohamed Salah and, in a desperate bid to make amends, hauled down Sadio Mane leaving referee Craig Pawson with no option but to point to the sport.
Salah, searching for his 50th Liverpool Premier League goal, Roberto Firmino and Milner have all shared penalty taking responsibilities this season, but Klopp believes the former England international should continue to take precedence when on the pitch.
‘Millie has the penalties, when he’s on the pitch it makes sense,’ confirmed the German afterwards.
‘There were no doubts but even Millie is a human being. Mind you, without Millie it’s probably 1-0 [after his mistake for Fulham’s goal]!’

‘The gaffer told me to come on and calm it down and the first thing I do is slice it and put Virgil under pressure which wasn’t ideal,’ revealed Milner afterwards
‘The goal was important to put away. You have to go back to what you practise, be calm and do what you do.’
