Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are in the midst of a nasty lawsuitJohnny Depp reportedly faced an intervention from some of his closest friends, including Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton, who are said to be worried about the actor amid his divorce drama with ex Amber Heard.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor is currently in the midst of a nasty court battle with Amber, 33, over allegations that he abused her during their year-long marriage which came to an end in 2016.
Former couple Helena and Tim are reportedly concerned about how Johnny is coping with the lawsuit and staged an ‘intervention’ of sorts to address their concerns.
A source told The Sun: ‘Helena and Tim have been very worried about Johnny in recent months – and have done what they can to help.
‘At one point they helped to stage what could be described as an intervention, along with others including Alice Cooper.’
Although Helena, 53, and Tim, 60, separated in 2014, the pair are said to have pooled together to help their friend.
The insider continued: ‘Helena feels maternal towards Johnny although she’s younger than him – and that is why they stepped in.

‘Johnny has been over to see them a couple of times to get away from the temptations of Hollywood and try to improve his mood.’
The Edwards Scissorhands actor is said to be spending time in Oxfordshire where Helena and Tim own a property, and has found the area to be a ‘sanctuary’.
Johnny, 55, is suing Amber for $50 million (£39.3 million) in a defamation lawsuit, claiming that her ‘fabricated domestic violence allegations against me are categorically and demonstrably false’.
In the lawsuit, Johnny states: ‘I have denied Ms. Heard’s allegations vehemently since she first made them in May 2016…
