John Terry and Roy Keane clashed during Villa’s win over Nottingham Forest (BPI/REX)John Terry and Roy Keane were involved in a heated exchange during Aston Villa’s win over Nottingham Forest on Wednesday evening.
The pair clashed on the touchline and needed to be calmed down by the fourth official Andy Woolmer before tensions escalated further.
Terry, who is the No.2 at Villa, continued to argue with Keane, who is Martin O’Neill’s assistant at Forest, before the pair retreated to their separate dugouts.
Villa kept their hopes of securing a play-off place alive with a 3-1 victory over their Championship rivals.
Jack Colback gave Forest an early lead in the third minute but Villa were i front after 15 minutes through John McGinn’s double.

Kortney Hause struck the third goal after the break to complete the win for Villa, who are two points behind a play-off place.
‘We’ve had a few false dawns this season and we have got to just look at the next game,’ Villa boss Dean Smith said after the match.
‘It’s nice to have a bit of momentum.
‘I’m watching Cheltenham at the moment, there are six furlongs to go! We just have to keep working hard.’
