TICKETS for United’s game in Barcelona in the Champions League are like gold dust for the supporters.
Thousands were left disappointed when they missed out on making the trip to Spain in the club ballott – so you can imagine their anger when they saw a chancer advertising his seats for sale at £500 EACH.
The fan took an advert out in his local paper offering up his seats for roughly four-times the true price, even supplying his phone number and email.
But the joke could well be on him, with United taking a dim view of ticket re-selling for profit.
They are now investigating, despite his claims he was raising money for charity (which he neglected to include in his ad) – and a three year Old Trafford ban could follow.
