Inside the British Soap Awards as Lucy Fallon parties with co-stars and Hollyoaks celebrate their win with champagne and selfies

THE biggest soap stars in the country gathered together this evening for the British Soap Awards.
And after all the gongs were given out the stars of Emmerdale, EastEnders, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks let loose to celebrate their achievements.

Corrie actress Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, made the most of what is likely to be her last awards after quitting the show.
She shared numerous pictures as she posed up with co-stars including pregnant Brooke Vincent and Sair Khan.
She also posed up with Helen Worth (Gail Platt) and Sue Nicholls (Audrey Roberts) as they enjoyed a few glasses of wine.
Feeling emotional she wrote on Instagram: “I have never met anyone like these two. They brighten my life every single day… and I love them SO much. Thank you for making me feel like a proper part of the fam every day.”

Meanwhile the Hollyoaks cast were busy celebrating their Best Soap win with a few glasses of bubbly.
Jennifer Metcalfe and Chelsee Healey joined Ruby Donnell and Niamh Blackshaw for some drinks to take it all in.
The EastEnders cast were also letting their hair done – particularly Dean Gaffney who posed up for pictures with Danny Dyer.
Hollyoaks secured four gongs including the best British soap award – the most coveted prize of the night at The Lowry theatre in Salford, Greater Manchester, on Saturday.

The cast erupted in cheers as the Channel 4 show’s title was called out as the winner, before taking to the stage.
Jessica Fox, who plays Nancy Hayton, spoke on behalf of the throng of stars.
She said: “Thank-you so much. First of all we want to say a massive thank-you to all our viewers. All of you who have voted for us.
