Harry Potter costumes are easy to come by — at a price, but you can find great savings at Primark
Aldi’s £4.99 blue Cinderella outfit includes tiara, ring, sparkly purse, a princess skirt and the Disney book is also a cracking deal
Everyone’s favourite wizard. Harry Potter costumes are easy to come by — at a price. While outfits on Amazon start at around £29.99, Primark has a Hogwarts robe, glasses and wand for just £12. SAVE: £17.99.
Be a Poppins star. After Mary Poppins Returns packed out cinemas, the practically perfect nanny is bound to be a popular choice. Very.co.uk has a convincing costume, including hat, on offer for £18.99, down from £23.99. But Lidl’s outfit is just £4.99. SAVE: £14.
Gran designs. Are your little ones fans of David Walliams’ Gangsta Granny? The book has been top of the World Book Day costume searches this year. If you are lucky, you already have Asda’s £8 outfit. But as it is sold out in many stores, head to B&M, where they have slashed the price of the seven to nine-year-olds outfit to just £2, down from £4. SAVE: £6.
Superhero powers. Comic books count! Whether your child is barmy about Batman barmy or has tingling Spidey senses, Poundland has you covered. Get all the props they need, including capes and masks, for a quid each, compared to Matalan’s Marvel range from £12. Get creative with the face paint to really bring their heroes to life. SAVE: Up to £11.
Perfect princess. Aldi’s £4.99 blue Cinderella outfit includes tiara, ring, sparkly purse, a princess skirt and the Disney book is also a cracking deal. If you don’t want to fork out on a costume they will soon grow out of, Flying Tiger has a range of fairy wings, hats, tiaras and wand bundles from £3. Ask a friend or neighbour if you can borrow a tutu on the day or get your tot to pop on their favourite dress. SAVE: £1.99.
