Nick Cannon believes fans should take responsibility for R Kelly’s ‘inhumane’ behaviourBack in January, it was revealed that the pair were expecting another baby.
The new addition, revealed to be a boy, is due to arrive ‘very early in May’, according to Us Weekly.
With that happy news in mind, let’s take a closer look at how the Kardashian/West family has grown so far…
How many children does Kim Kardashian have with Kanye West?
In total, Kim K has three kids, and a fourth one is on the way.
She’s had all of these children with her current husband, musician Kanye West, whom she married in 2014.
She gave birth to their first child, daughter North West, in June 2013, and to her second, son Saint West in December 2015.
Kim K’s first pregnancy was a difficult one – she suffered pre-eclampsia, which is a disorder marked by the onset of high blood pressure, and in more serious cases, can result in red blood cell breakdown, kidney disease and the buildup of fluid in the lungs.
If it goes untreated, pre-eclampsia could result in seizures.
Kim’s pre-eclampsia caused her to have to deliver North early at 34 weeks.
Another problem with her first pregnancy was that, after North’s delivery, she suffered what’s called placenta accreta, which is when part or all of the placenta is too deeply attached to the womb, and Kim ended up needing surgery to correct it.
A source told People that Kim suffered from placenta accreta again with Saint, and she was reportedly advised by her doctors against getting pregnant for a third time.
Even so, Kim underwent an operation to try and help her carry another child more safely, but it unfortunately didn’t work.
This caused Kim to seriously contemplate surrogacy, as we saw on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and low and behold, their third child, daughter Chicago West, was born via surrogate in January 2018.
The fourth baby, who has yet to arrive, will also be born via surrogate, and it’s been confirmed that the little sprog is going to be the couple’s second boy.
Speaking to the New York Times, the reality star said: ‘I’m frantically trying to get the [nursery] room ready. It’s madness, but the best madness.’
Previously, Kim told Elle magazine that she was on the fence about having a fourth kid with Kanye, and that if they did, it would be their last.
She said: ‘I don’t think I could handle more than that. My time is spread really thin. And I think it’s important that in all couples, the mom gives the husband as much attention as the kids.’
