The Red Devils are on the verge of completing a deal for Wan-Bissaka that could reach £55million, with the Crystal Palace star having already agreed a contract worth around £80,000-a-week.
A new right-back has been one of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s top priorities this summer and he’ll be delighted to have landed one of the most highly sought-after young players in the Premier League.

Injuries saw Roy Hodgson bring Wan-Bissaka into the Palace starting XI and he was given a baptism of fire, taking on Tottenham, United and Chelsea in his first three outings.

But Wan-Bissaka gave a man-of-the-match performance against United, despite being on the losing side, and Mourinho was impressed with how well he played – particularly in a first half that Palace took the lead in.
Wan-Bissaka was pitted against Alexis Sanchez, who had only arrived from Arsenal a month earlier, and completely marked him out of the game, frustrating the Chilean, though United rallied to win 3-2 with a late strike from Nemanja Matic.

The Red Devils have been looking at West Ham duo Issa Diop and Declan Rice – who Mourinho would have targeted this summer had he not been sacked – while Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire was also highly rated by Mourinho.
