Hailey Baldwin says mental health should be everyone’s top priority (Picture: WireImage)Hailey Baldwin has spoken out about mental health and insists it should be everyone’s priority.
The model, who is married to Justin Bieber, addressed how mental health is gaining more and more attention worldwide in a new interview with People magazine and said she thinks we all can be a little guilty in letting it ‘fall to the side’.
Speaking to the publication on Tuesday, Hailey said: ‘I think your mental health should be number one and it falls to the side a lot.
‘There’s more attention on mental health these days, and I see why, and I get it. I think you have to know what works for you.’
Hailey revealed that she keeps herself in check by taking time away from her life in the public eye and spending time at the beach – much like she did with Justin in Los Angeles a few days ago.
‘I think it’s grounding,’ she said. T’he sound of the ocean, being in the sun — there are so many things that are healthy about the beach to me… there’s a lot of different levels of self-care… eating right, drinking a lot of water and working out.
‘It’s really good for your mentality.’
The topic is a poignant one for Hailey right now, as husband Justin recently confessed to fans that he has been ‘struggling a lot’.
The Baby hit-maker has been receiving treatment for depression and shared an honest update with his followers on Instagram where he said he was ‘feeling disconnected an weird lately’.
Justin wrote: ‘Just wanted to keep you guys updated a little bit hopefully what I’m going through will resonate with you guys. Been struggling a lot.
‘Just feeling super disconnected and weird… I always bounce back so I’m not worried just wanted to reach out and ask for your guys to pray for me.’
Hailey had encouraged Justin to seek help with his depression and he is now focusing on his mental health and getting into a better place.
Sources claim that Hailey ‘isn’t putting any pressure’ on the star and they have postponed their wedding until Justin is ready.

‘He wants to be in a great place for his own and Hailey’s sake. He is still confident that he will get there.’
Technically Hailey and Justin are already married. They tied the knot in a courthouse service in New York in September, two months after announcing their engagement in July last year.
But, the couple had been planning another wedding day to host a religious blessing for their family and friends.
