Anyone loading the site is met with a 404 error message. Google has yet to provide an explanation for the outage.
However, an official status board for the service reads: “We’re investigating reports of an issue with Google Calendar. We will provide more information shortly. The affected users are unable to access Google Calendar.”
Problems began around 3:15pm BST, and show no signs of letting up yet.
So far, more than 4,000 people have reported problems with the service to the website DownDetector.

Manchester, Dublin, London and Newcastle are among the cities worst hit in the UK.
Outside of Britain, users in Japan, Brazil and the United States are also reporting problems.

“THIS IS NOT A DRILL. Google Calendar is down. Grab your loved ones and head for cover,” said another.

Other tweeters chose to look on the bright side.
“Well s**t. I guess I don’t really have any meetings today,” quipped one user.
It’s the third time Google services have suffered an outage in as many weeks.
Gmail crashed out of action for several hours yesterday evening, while an outage took out YouTube, Gmail, and Snapchat in the US on June 2.
